Getting back to work in the new year..

Hello! Happy New Year! I hope 2006 is going well for you so far. After a few weeks break, I’m back to blogging and ready to help you make 2006 the year of your Ph.D. Just in case you didn’t know, I also have a newsletter that goes out every two weeks- if you haven’t signed up yet, you can do so on the home page at http://www.CompleteYourDissertation.com. Now, on to the real stuff… Time Management. This is a crucial skill for the dissertation and life- but, really, it’s not about managing time. It’s about managing priorities. Is the dissertation a priority for you? Really, really? If so, does the way you spend your time reflect this? If I looked at your scheduler today, could I tell that the dissertation was a main priority? If so, that’s excellent!! and you’ll be finished really quickly. If not (and this not that unusual), it’s time to make some adjustments. What are you willing to adjust or let go of so you have the time and space to finish your dissertation? Remember, success happens (and dissertations get written) when intentions line up with actions. So if you intend to finish your dissertation this year, take action to make it so.
