One reason people procrastinate is because they spend more time THINKING about the task then it probably takes to actually DO the task. When you find yourself constantly thinking about a problem or issue, this means you need to take action on it. When you delay action, you get caught in a cycle of thinking about the task, not working on it, thinking about it more, working on it less (or not at all)– and you’ve all of a sudden, grown the task to much, much, much bigger than it probably already was. You can break through this cycle by taking one small action- no matter what it is- to get moving. If you don’t know where to start, go with your first thought– think about the problem, and take the very next action that comes to mind.
