A topic that’s been rolling around in my head lately is that of making dissertation progress in the summer. For those in the US, June signals the end of another academic year, the start of the summer, and, for many, a time of high expectations and lofty intentions regarding the amount of dissertation progress that will be made. Most graduate students create a rigorous summer working schedule, which might be fine. Many, though, stick to it only for about two weeks, which is not fine. These next series of posts will cover strategies for maximizing your dissertation progress while still enjoying the summer.
